ACTIVE Project-Results

During the ACTIVE project, a total of approximately 60 scientific missions were flown by the two aircraft, singly or in combination with each other or aircraft from the SCOUT-O3 or TWP-ICE projects. Thus a very large dataset of gas phase, aerosol and microphysical measurements has been collected in and around a variety of convective systems occurring in a wide range of conditions. Additionally a climatology of gas phase and aerosol properties around the region generally has also been obtained. Detailed results from the analysis of these data and from the associated modelling studies will be published at conferences and in peer reviewed literature. A list of such publications can be found here. The data itself is archived at BADC and is now publicly available.
