Northern Hemisphere BrO from the GOME satellite

Plot of Northern Hemisphere BrO from the GOME satellite. This plot shows enhanced BrO concentrations over the oceans in the arctic region in spring. Such events last for several weeks, and occur in both hemispheres each year during polar spring.
